SFFO was formed in the late `80's when a group of responsible, law-abiding south Florida firearm owners got feed up with the media's efforts to lay the blame for the criminal misuse of firearms at the doorstep of law-abiding firearm owners. Almost all active members of SFFO are certified NRA instructors in one or more of the shooting skills.
